Hi,

Is there a way to have the pivot source data automated so that it can change if I data drop new source files each month?

I don't want to manually adjust the source data every time. I have like 7 pivots I'd LOVE to automate.

Thanks!

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Sure, format the data source as a table, then base the PT's off of that.

All you need to do each month is delete the existing data and paste in the new, then refresh and you're good to go.

Thanks for your reply, Smitty.

I'm trying to build like 12 pivot tables in one sheet. Is there a way to avoid modifying 12 source change data for each? Is that what you suggested?

Would -> Refreshing All -> know to drag down the source data if, let's say, there are more rows each month?

I don't think they're going to automatically update to reflect the table when you convert your data to a table, but they might (I've never tried). Otherwise, you'll need to point the existing pivot table sources to the new table(s) source.

Yes, pivot tables based on tables are completely dynamic and don't care how many rows you have.
