Hello,

I am simply trying to remove the borders in the page by dropdowns and change the page by field to white text so you can't see that it says "Geography" and "Time". I have the rest of the pivot table hidden and am using the page by drop downs to select different geographies and time off of a vlookup table. When I change the dropdowns the borders come back and the text turns black again? I have turned off/and on the preserve formatting button but that does not seem to work. Thank you.

I have the same issue. I change a dropdown option and an entire column turns black. My pivot table is extensive and has a number of formulas, so it would be very awkward and time-consuming to recreate it from scratch. This isn't the first time I've seen the issue, I had it on a different column earlier in the year, and re-saved from an earlier version of the file to get rid of it. I can't do the same thing here as the column is a newly created one.

I also get this in other pivot tables, where I try to save a pivot without any borders, but every time I refresh it puts in heavy black borders. A coworker had originally set these borders, and now I'm trying to save over them, and for months I have been manually reformatting every time I refresh.

For the first table, correctly formatted:
