I have a listing of new contracts. Column A is site ID. Column C is commencement date. There should be no gaps in A or C.
Columns J:M are dates when various documents were signed, or stages completed. There are gaps.
I have a pivot table that shows for each site, for each month the number of contracts and the number that have completed each stage.
I want a pivot to show the percentage completed. (I don't have Excel genie at work so I have to describe)
Say site 1 had 20 contracts with 10 completed stage 1 and 4 completed stage 2

Existing Pivot 1 - Count:
A....B....C....D
Site 1....20....10....4

Required Pivot 2 - Percentage
Site 1....20....50%....20%

You need to add a calculated field to your pivot table. Click in your pivot table and select the ANALYZE tab on the ribbon. In the Calculations group you will see "Fields, Items, & Sets", click that and select "Calculate Field". Pick a name for your new field like "Stage 1 % Complete". In the formula area divide C by B. Click Add and OK. You will now see this new field in your pivot table. Repeat these steps to add the Stage 2 % Complete field.
