Pivot table not combining duplicate data

I have a large spreadsheet where in column "A" I have customer names that are duplicated many times and in column "B" I have product names that are also duplicated many times. (this is not my enitire spreadsheet but just the columns that I want to analyze). My problem is that when I run the pivot table the data in column b is sometimes duplicated in the pivot table. If you have any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this I would appreciate it.
