Pivot Table Style/Formatting

I really like a pivot table style that I've used in Excel 2007 for years. We are now switching over to 2010 and the same style isn't an option. I have tried to customize my own style to match 2007's version, but I can't seem to get it exactly right. Is there anyway that I would able to easily copy the style into 2010? I have tried copy and pasting an old table, but it doesn't recognize the style.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Which style is it? Have you tried copying a pre formatted pivot table into a new workbook to see if the style gets copied with it?

Yes - and it does copy the formatting, but once I go to save it as my default style, it fails to read the actual formatting and instead just shows it as if my table has no formatting at all.

Well, the problem with Excel 2007 is that it doesn't have the same specifications as 2010. I looked through all of the pre-made templates (dark, medium, and light) and none of them fit the exact specifications of the "table 7" layout/format from 2007.

In table 7, the coulmn headings were black, the grand totals and subtotals in gray. It seems that the formatting is more specific than trying to create a custom table, however.

Dark, Medium or Light? :)

You've lost me - there is no 'table 7' style in 2007 as far as I know, and the pivot table styles are pretty much identical between 2007 and 2010 as far as I can see.

I'm so sorry - just realized the older version I was using was 2003 - not 2007.

Thank you!!!

That would explain it. :)
I think you may be one of the very few who actually prefers the 2003 formatting to the newer versions. There is no easy way to copy that over, you would have to try and create as close a version as you can in 2010.
