Pivot Table Top 10 Issue

I am using the Pivot table sorting function "Top 10". I am sorting it to the top 5, but some of my fields contain 6 entires after....What's up with that?

I have 3 fields Date, Hour, Rate. Date and hour are row fields, rate is data field. I want to see top 5 hours by date based on rate. it seems to work but some dates show 6 hours???

Who would you count as belonging to a top 3 list, giving the following names and their scores?

mark,40
tom,40
vlad,35
jon,30
erock,35

As you can surmise, if the Nth value has a tie, the top N list gets expanded.
