Pivot table 'values' text removed

I'm looking for a way to remove the 'values' text from the pivot table without disabling the dropdown button in the 'row labels' field.

If I disable headers, this button will also disappear.

I generally reorganize my pivot table column widths to an ideal size for the values, putting headers in multiple lines. The 'values' cell is formatted the same as the headers and directly above the first, so it always looks like the first header is prefixed with the word 'values'. My current solution is to hide the first row of the pivot table but this causes all sorts of problems when altering the pivot table contents.

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
