Please help me designing query

Hello All,

I want to build a query in MS Access where output returns data available in table1 and not in table2.

Create the query and select your 2 tables then using fld1 drag from table 1 into table 2 fld1 that gives you a relationship then double click the line and check the joins and then palce in the fields into the query and then view the data.

I tried all three possibilites but i m not getting what i needed. Can you provide me the SQL query?

look at the following

SELECT tbl1.fld1, tbl1.fld2, tbl2.fld1
FROM tbl1 LEFT JOIN tbl2 ON tbl1.fld1 = tbl2.fld1
WHERE (((tbl2.fld1) Is Null));

Try this:

SELECT Table1.FLD1, Table1.FLD2
FROM Table1 LEFT JOIN Table2 ON Table1.FLD1 = Table2.FLD1
WHERE (((Table2.FLD2) Is Null));

edit: Trevor -- you have fast fingers. Interesting both queries although slightly different will bring the same results.

Table1.Fld1 = Table2.Fld1
Where Table2.fld1 Is Null
