Please help me edit this formula

instead of C1 in the same spread sheet, I need to use it in Sheet2 cell C3 and so on please help me fix it

=IF(MOD(COLUMNS(Sheet1!$A$1:A$1),2),INDEX(Sheet1!$A$1:$A$4,INT(COLUMNS(Sheet1!$A$1:A$1)/2)+1),"")

Change the sheet reference to suit. If the name includes spaces you will need to surround it with single quotes.
