Hi,

I am stuck, and need your help!

I need to select the minimum and maximum time value from a range of cells based on the date. However, the cell range will change from user to user.

The data I am using is here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24652113/User Login Times.xls

This report shows every login and logout for users on our system. I need to select only the first (min) login, and last (max) logout value for each day in the report. In the data above, from 1/07/11 to 14/07/11. This is used for payroll purposes to determine the staff members shift length.

The problem is that the number of logins/logouts in a day can vary.

Is there a formula which will select the min/max value based on the date, regardless of the cell range?

Regards,

David Sims

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
