Hi,
i have several years of lottery results stored in excel, is it possible to program excel to search all the results and display the occurences of a given set of numbers. Or to program excel to choose a random set of numbers and search for all occurences.

Try this :-

Concatenate each result into one number, and then use Find to look for the concatenated given set of numbers.

Similarly with concatenated sets of random numbers.

You could try conditional formatting.

Say A1 houses a number you choose, highlight your range of numbers, go to Format/Conditional Formatting, enter in formula is

=Countif(range,$A$1)>1, click Format/Pattern, choose a color, click OK OK. Any number matching A1 should be highlighted.
