dear all,

as all u people can see. I am a newbie. I needed some help for some calculations using excel.

I have two columns, A and B. which means C will be the ans

criteria is

If A is below than 2, C will be 45
if A is above 2, it will be 45+18 and if it is 4 it will be 45+18+18, it will carry on adding 18 till if A is 6, it will show 140. if it is 11 and above it will be 140+45 and if A is 13 it will be 140+45+18 and carry on adding 18 till it hits 16. and this cycle will continue.

B will be simplier. If B is 20 it will show in C as 35 if more than 20 it will add 2.5 to it for example if B is 25 it will be (25-20=5 * 2.5)+ 35

I koe it may b abit confusing. But i really it..

pls pls assist.
best rgds

I hope both criteria will reflect in C

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

I hope understood, let me give to you the formula:

- if you want to add both results you should use at C3 cell (if your data start at 3rd row):

=IF(A3<2,IF(B3<20,35,(35+((B3-20)*2.5)))+45,IF(B3<20,35,(35+((B3-20)*2.5)))+(45+((A3-2)*18)))

here are separate formulas to solve each one of the cases:

for A3 Cell value situation:
=IF(A3<=2,45,45+((A3-2)*18))

For B3 Cell value situation:
=IF(B3<20,35,(35+((B3-20)*2.5)))

I hope this can help you.
