Populating 2nd sheet with info from 1st sheet

I am wondering how I can take data from one sheet and have it populate onto the second sheet?

I am trying to get certain cells (Total GB left over on hard drives) from Sheet 1 to continually populate a column on Sheet 2. Sheet 1 is messy with information, Sheet 2 I want it to be clean with just the info I need.

In computer forensics, I am basically keeping track of the amount of space left over on each hard drive I have. Each case is entered with the remaining amount of space left over, along with a lot of other details on Sheet 1. On Sheet 2, I want to be able to print it, so I can go right to the hard drive that has the correct space remaining that I need. Does this make sense?

On the second sheet, I just want it to display the "Drive#" and the "Remaining Space" in a list... That way, I can just glance at that second/clean sheet and choose the drive with the most open space on it... Is that possible?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but can't you just select the "Drive #" column and copy that into sheet 2, then select the "Remaining Space" column and copy that into sheet 2 next to it.

Or if you want it to automatically update with any changes on sheet 1, say Drive# is in column A on sheet 1 and Remaining space is column E on sheet 1

Just go to sheet 2, A1 = Sheet1!A1 and B1 = Sheet1!E1, now just drag these formula all the way down

Hmm, that formula does not seem to work... How "exactly" should I enter it on A1 on Sheet 2? What if my Sheets have been renamed?

If youve renamed the sheets you just need to change "sheet1" to whatever you named it to so say you named it Messysheet it would be
in the new "clean" sheet

Man ok. Go to your "clean" sheet and click in cell A1. Now type =, then click on the tab for the sheet with all the info on it, next click on the first cell in the drive # column. Now press enter. Now go back to your clean sheet and do the same in cell B1 for the space remaining column. Now you can drag the formulas all the way down and it will just copy the data from the first sheet to the second

Alternatively you could just copy and paste the columns you need from the first sheet to the second.
