Hi,

I am wondering if it would be possible in Excel to get an email automatically sent out whenever a certain data field has been populated?

For instance, I input instrument request data (we work for a partnership that loans them out to schools), and require my manager's approval of such data before I can get the instruments sent out. Rather than having to email her each time I have filled in the new instrument request info, and subsequently having to wait for her to email me back each time she has checked this info and indicated that it is okay to proceed, it would be great if there was some facility that generated a notifying email - both ways - once the dat had been inputted.

Moreover, if the email could contain a link back to the spreadsheet (as well as the notification) this would speed up things even more.

If someone could let me know whether this is at all possible I would be extremely graetful.

Thanks a lot,
Tom
