Using XL07, one of my macros is running slowly, and I'm wondinger if it's possible to set a certain range on this sheet to manual calculation mode. For example, if cell C5 = "NA", then all calculations in row 5 should be ignored.

I have also considered using code which would copy, then paste special values, basically over-writing all of the folumlas in a row when "NA" is found in column C.

Would appreciate any thoughts/advice.

Thanks in advance.

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
I don't think you can. I would do the following; set calculation to manual, and call calculate when needed in the code.

Dim sCalc as String
sCalc = Application.Calculation
Application.Calculation = xlCalculationManual

.

.

Range(A:A).Calculate

.
.
.

Application.Calculation = sCalc
