I noticed that when i create a power pivot table and click on the totals to show the details it's limited to 1000 rows. Is there a way to display all the records like I would in a regular pivot table?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
It actually makes sence there is a limitation on the drill down. PP can hold much more data then a sheet can. It allows to view a sample only.
You can set it to the max number of rows of a sheet though in the connection properties, section OLAP drill through.
