PowerPivot Error 3436: works with me, but doesnt when sending workbook to others

Hello friends,

I have an excel data in a workbook, of which I saved on my computer. And created another workbook that has powerpivot tables.

when I open the workbook of the powerpivot tables, and refresh the tables are updated.

But, when I send the workbook of the powerpivots to another user via outlook (colleague of mine in the same office/dept.), he/she are getting an error when the refreshing is taking place.

Error: we couldn’t refresh the table 'sheet1' from connection 'Excel Avg Claim'. Here's the error message we got: OLE DB or ODBC error: Failure creating file; 3436.

Why is this happening? and how can I fix that? please walk me thru this if you don't mind.

What type of connection is 'Excel Avg Claim'? Is it a SQL server or another Excel file or reference?

That's because when your colleague opened the workbook, powerpivot can't find the file saved in your d drive. you have to send him that file too
