I'm trying to predict as accurately as possible. on what day a certain value will be reached.
The example I will use is recording the mileage driven on a daily basis. There will be days when a vehicle is driven more and some days, it may not be driven at all. Assuming I collect the mileage every day for x number of days, is there a way I can predict (approximately) which day I will need to change the oil at 3000 miles?
I realize that over time, the prediction would be more accurate but is there a formula I can use to do this?

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
The FORECAST (or FORECAST. LINEAR) function in Excel predicts a future value along a linear trend. The FORECAST. ETS function in Excel predicts a future value using Exponential Triple Smoothing, which takes into account seasonality.
