This is probably going to be an easy one for y'all, so thanks in advance.
I'm entering data in to column a, 8 digits.

I want the cell to return (the fixed string of characters+the 8 entered digits) in the same cell.

I believe I have seen it before, but I can't remember it off-hand.
 

Excel Facts

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Format the cell with a custom format like this:

"CWattsRules"00000000

that will make sure that 8 digits are shown so if you just type 50, it will show:

CWattsRules0000050

If you change it to "CWattsRules"######## it will show

CWattsRules50

I suppose you could change the CWattsRules to anything you want. :)
