Hi,

I am looking for a prepaid expense schedule template that lets you track the prepaid expense items and their balances on one worksheet and also has a tab for the preparation of monthly journals.
I currently use one that is way too cumbersome.
The main problem is that the items on the balance tab are not in alphabetical order and causes problems in the worksheet where journals are created. I think that the balance worksheet should have a unique identifier, the invoice number/vendor combination so that the items can be tracked on the worksheet where you prepare the journal entry.
In other words, the worksheet where you prepare the journals would search, search formula?, for the unique identifier (invoice number/vendor combination) and bring the expense amount that would be allocated to from one to twenty accounts.
I am not asking for someone to create it for me, just provide the concept. Another problem is some prepaid items are allocated to one account while others have 19 or 20 accounts.
Have googled and searched on the forum with no luck. Has anyone seen anything similar to what I described?

Thanks
