Preserving Filter/Slicer across Multiple Sheets Using Same Pivot Table Structure

Hello,

I have 1 data source that I'm building my pivot table/charts from.

I have 5 categories that I want to graph data for. Each Category has 4 pivot tables and 4 pivot charts. I'm breaking them up because I couldn't figure out how to use 1 big pivot table to build 4 charts while hiding certain fields from each chart, the data won't look right on same chart and be too busy.

For each of the 5 Categories, I have a worksheet for the 4 pivot tables, and a worksheet for 4 pivot charts.

A total of 11 worksheets, including the data source worksheet.

On each of the pivot table worksheets, there is a filter for Category.

Here is the problem: when I go to the sheet for Category A and select Category A in the filter, the data and charts change to Category A, but now the other 4 category pivot tables and charts show Category A. If I go to Category C's pivot worksheet and change its filter to Category C, all the other pivot tables/charts change to Category C.

Originally, I setup a slicer for Category and the same thing was happening: change slicer on 1 Category sheet and all the others changed. So I then tried going the Filter route.

I'm guessing this is happening because I created the original pivot table and chart, and simply Copied the worksheet and renamed them for each Category.

My question is, do I have to create each Category's pivot tables and charts from scratch, or is there a way to somehow reconfigure pivot table and/or pivot chart settings to tie each Category's charts to its tables? Hoping for the latter. It would be ideal to be able to copy the charts because they take time to get right and especially to make them look consistent across all categories (and maintenance, if I want to change something down the road, which is always the case).

Thanks!

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
