Would like to run the macro, be prompted for a file name, then have the file saved (or printed) to a PDF in a specified folder.

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Go here and look at the last bit of code on the page:
http://www.excelguru.ca/node/92

It is entitled "This sample will prompt the user for a location to save the active worksheet as a PDF."

This should be right up your alley.

On a side note, you may need the add-in found here to make this work, but I think Office 2010 shipped with it installed. I tried the macro he listed on the site as is and it worked perfectly.

I had trouble with the code in the link for Excel 2010. However, I put together the following code and it seems to work. It saves the current sheet open as a PDF.

Code:
Sub Save_PDF()

i = InputBox("Please enter a file name", "Save As", NewName)

    ActiveSheet.ExportAsFixedFormat Type:=xlTypePDF, Filename:= _
        "C:\Users\Brenan\Desktop\Folder\" & i & ".pdf", Quality:= _
        xlQualityStandard, IncludeDocProperties:=False, IgnorePrintAreas:=False, _
        OpenAfterPublish:=False
End Sub

Thanks!
