Hello,

I built a large database that stores all of my reports that I run in various systems. I have recently been getting the same error when trying to import the same reports (new months) into my database. The error is:

Cannot open database ". It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.

I format all the cells in my file to text, except the date columns. I tried importing as a .csv - instead of importing as a .xlsx - but that had no luck either. I don't understand how everything used to work last month, but nothing this month.

Can someone recommend another way to do this? The reports are very large, so I cannot save as an earlier version of Excel. I am using Microsoft Office 2007.

Thanks!

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Are you using an Access 2003 database? Possibly you need to first actually save your reports as csv files, and then import them as csv - the csv import will fail if the file itself hasn't really been saved as a csv file.
