Hi.

I'm trying to setup a date format as string & date. With the date format as mmm d (ie Oct 5). See below.

Dim gcfilename As String
gcfilename = "\\pyrvanfp07\Finance\6000 HQ Finance\11-12\Reporting\G&C exp and enc for download2 " & Format(Left(Date$, 5))

The output is : Reporting\G&C exp and enc for download2 10/24/2011

What is the problem?

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Try this.
Code:
Format(Date$, "mmm d")
