Hi all

I'm working (or rather attempting to work) with some data imported from a web table. I've managed to do this before without any problems, but I'm getting an error on the site I now want to use. I know the data is there as I can navigate to it in Excel and highlight the tab to download it.

This is the error message:

Unable to open http://www.soccer-rating.com/England/UK1. The Internet site reports that the item you requested could not be found. (HTTP/1.0 404)

Can anyone shed some light please?

Thanks a lot

Paul

EDIT: I've just tried the link above and get a 404 message, but I can paste it in my browser and it loads ok - don't know if this helps or confuses the issue!!

I think I have identified the problem, but I don't know how to resolve it!

http://www.soccer-rating.com/England/UK1 - should have a '/' on the end of it, but Excel doesn't store that for some reason and without it obviously can't find the page.

Any suggestions as to why Excel loses this '/' and how to work around it please?

Paul
