i would like to set up a query to prompt the user for the criteria value. normally i do this by entering a prompt statement in brackets. what i'm wondering - if i want to have a criteria that says

like "ham*"

how can i do that in a prompated environment? i've tried writing

like [enter first three letters]*

but that won't work.

any suggestions?
