What is the best way to put in a "proprietary" or "confidential" statement that will appear automatically at the bottom of each spreadsheet? I am in hopes of finding a way that will remain unaltered or deleted post distribution or being shared.

P.S.
This is not in reference to a "watermark."

Thank you,

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
What version of excel are you using - would be worth updating your profile to show version as solutions will be dependant on what version you have and therefore what functions available

would a footer work
probably need to add to the template that excel uses - NOT sure how that works theses days used to play wayback with 2007 - but now with windows 10/11 and mac versions i dont know

BUT to add a footer to every sheet in a spreadsheet

NOT every spreadsheet you have - or automatically added to a footer when you open a new spreadsheet
i have searched google - but you get various answers depending on excel version and also changes how excel works normally
