I'm using Excel 2007. Can someone tell me how to protect formulas that I've entered so that they cannot be changed? I don't want to protect all cells because I'll be needing to enter data in blank cells.

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Protection in 2007 works similar to previous versions. You can selectively protect cells and then, upon selecting and protecting those cells (Right-Click Menu - Format Cells - Protection), protect the sheet so that changes cannot be made to formulas.

HTH and please let us know if there is something else you need.

Select All Cells in the WorkSheet. Then right click and select 'format cells' > click on the 'Protection' tab and untick 'locked'
Then select only the cells you want to protect and tick 'locked' from the 'format cells' window.

Then when you protect the worksheet you can say only to protect those locked cells.
