I'm using a simple macro which the protects the sheet after it has run - it finishes with;

.Protect Password:="secret"

I need to allow format changes with this protection - how can I achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Try doing what you want to do using the Macro Recorder in native XL -- the subsequent auto-generated code will show you the properties you need to set to allow your specific choices when it comes to protecting the sheet.

Thats what I tried initially, but I ended up trying this, which failed;

.Protect Password:="secret" DrawingObjects:=True, Contents:=True, Scenarios:=True _
, AllowFormattingCells:=True

Do I need something else in there??
