I keep getting message that I can't find/replace because its a protected sheet. Is there a setting I can change to turn this off?

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Either unprotect the sheet, or don't do a find/replace on that sheet.

Are you doing the Find/Replace to the entire workbook, or just a specific sheet?

Well then assuming you don't have more than one sheet selected, I'd have to assume that the sheet is in fact protected. If you do have more than one selected, it will actually operate on all of them.
