Pulling text from bitmap

I use a free software called ScreenHunter to capture portions of screens. This is done as a screen shot and is in bitmap form. I'm trying to find a way to pull out the text from this and place it in a word or excel file. Can't figure if there is a way to do this or not.

Anyone know?

OCR seems to be the only way, convert into tif and read
