I have a table where I want to put the date (which has been converted to Text) into the first row of my table.

This code ALMOST works. Its putting the value in the table header and not the first row.

(and then I am trying to copy that down to the last row)

Code:
Sub Macro6()

ActiveSheet.ListObjects("IHS_Markit").ListColumns("Version").Range(1, 1).Value = Format(Now, "yy.mm.dd")

   ActiveSheet.ListObjects("IHS_Markit").ListColumns("Version").Range(1, 1).Select
    Selection.End(xlDown).Select
    Selection.Copy
    Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlDown)).Select
    ActiveSheet.Paste
        Application.CutCopyMode = False

End Sub

[code/]

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Try
VBA Code:
ActiveSheet.ListObjects("IHS_Markit").ListColumns("Version").Range(2).Value = Format(Now, "yy.mm.dd")
Although I'm not sure what you are trying to do with the rest of the code.
