I have data validation dropdown list of employee name in cell A100 and cost center in A101. They both are independent of each other. I want to highlight when the cost center does nsot corresponds to that employee. the column B has employees name and column D has cost center.
These columns are not that I used for drop down

Thanks

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Hi,

Maybe something like

CF Formula
=VLOOKUP($A$100,$B$2:$D$200,3,0)<>$A$101

Adjust the ranges
