question on dynamic ranges when making them more complicated

I am trying to make charts using multiple dynamic ranges all on the same sheet. Spread sheet example:
chart a:
1/1/2011 1
1/2/2011 3
1/4/2011 5

chart b:
1/1/2011 8 8
1/2/2011 5 9
1/4/2011 10 11
1/5/2011 20 30

both charts will have multiple lines that change from week to week. meaning that next weeks 'chart a' may have 4 or more lines, and 'chart b' may have 5 or more lines. 'chart b' will always be directly underneath 'chart a' which is where i am getting my problems. Also, keep in mind, if 'chart a' gets one more line, 'chart b' is then pushed down a line from where it previously was. this means that the beginning of 'chart a' can always be found but the beginning of 'chart b' has to be determined before it can even graph (obviously the ends of 'chart a' and 'chart b' also need to be found.

I was also considering finding a method to do this in vba however i was not able to find out how to set up a chart using vba if you do not already have the charts determined dimensions. I dont know where to go after having vba determine if a cell is empty or not.

Any help will be much appreciated!

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Can I ask why your data is in the same column and not different columns?

It's just the way im setting something up. In the end, everything is generated on one sheet.

In that case put them in separate columns, and your dynamic names are simple.
