range formatting

Question: When inputting data in cells once the last cell is found is it ok to format the cell (s) as you go as the "range" is always expanding.

OR

Do you do all your sheet formatting prior too?

I would think "on the fly" formatting would be the approiate method.

I would think you just format the entire range or possibility of the length of the range.

If it was column B I would click on column B and format and be done.

Of course if something may go in column B below the one particular set of data then this wouldn't work.
