RE: Prevent Row deletion ?

Hello,

Is there a way to prevent deletion of rows in a worksheet & allow everything else i.e insert, update etc, etc.

i tried this using Tools > Protect > Protect Sheet by only ticking 'Delete Rows' but this stops me from doing EVERTHING ?!

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
RE:

everything is 'CHECKED' EXCEPT 'Delete Row/Column'
but still CAN'T enter any data

sorry, figured you already had the cells unlocked.....

select your range of cells you wish to allow to be changed and choose the format menu, selecting cells and click the protect tab. uncheck the locked box. and click ok. Sorry for the confusion.
