Hi,

I have set a read-only PASSWORD in ms excel 2007. Now when i open the file and try to save it again, a message appears and if i click on the 'Ok' button it takes me to save the file again. Is there any way to get the read-only password box directly in the same file so that i can simply type that read-only password to save the data.

Please help.

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Describe exactly what you've done to set a password, and what you do when you open the file. It sounds like you've set a Modify password on the file, but are opening it as Read-Only ... if you want to modify a file, you don't open it as read-only. ... guessing a that, as it's not really clear what you are asking for.
