Hi,

I have values in column C. The rand is from C2 to C350 I want to put a formula in cell C351 to read only the last entered value in that range.

Example:
When a value like 900 is entered in cell C2 I want C351 to read 900, then when a value like 1200 is entered in cell C3 I want C351 to read 1200 and forget about 900 ...etc.

Thanks a lot

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Thank you barry,

It worked perfectly.

Is it possible to explain it for me please?

Thanks a lot again

In short, LOOKUP should return the greatest value less than the lookup value from a sorted (ascending) range.

As the lookup value here is the largest number that can be entered in a cell all numbers in your range will be smaller.

Because the range SHOULD be sorted the LAST value in the range is assumed to be the largest and that one is returned (whether the range is indeed sorted or not)
