I am using excel 07 version. I accidentally del some worksheet and save the file. Now i want to retrieve back the old data / worksheet as those data is very important to me. If possible , going back before i amend the file status.
I try to look for tmp (~DF0AD2ADDB6350B1F7.tmp)file, but cannot open it by using excel . The size of the file is just 68K. Even i change the tmp to xls, also cannot open, it stated invalid format.
I also check and see any previous version , also not available.
Anyone can help me to get back those old data / worksheet?

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
1
Click "Start" and then "Search."

2
Select "All Files and Folders" when asked what you want to search for.

3
Type in "*.xls" (without the quotation marks) under "All or Part of the File Name."

4
Click on the arrow next to "More advanced options" and make sure that the file type reads "All Files and Folders."

5
Click the boxes next to "Search System Folders" and "Search Hidden Files."

6
Click "Search."

7
Look for an earlier version of your file (it should have a similar name). When it appears, open it to see if it is the version you want.

Welcome to the forum!

You may try looking in the AutoRecover file location. The full path is in the save tab of Excel options
