I have a seperate sheet named for each month (Jan, Feb, Mar, .....)

On my cover page I can type in one box the customer number (cell B7), and I can select the month from a drop down I have in cell D5.

I want to write a sum if statement. I want it to reference the sheet that I have selected in my drop down, and to sum column B if column A = my customer # in cell B7.

Can someone help me write this? Thanks.

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().

Try this...

=IF(D5="","",SUMIF(INDIRECT(D5&"!A:A"),B7,INDIRECT(D5&"!B:B")))
