References Won't Stay Checked

I have made a spreadsheet for someone that references a dll. I checked the box beside the dll in Tools => References. It works fine for me; but my client's computer keeps un-checking the reference. What can I do to stop this?

Are the dll's stored in the same location on each machine?

They should be; but perhaps I should try having my client browse to his copy of the DLL.

... it's always worth checking that first.
