Hello, how do you reference a closed workbook on a desktop without using C:\user\thomas\
I have a simple function here: =vlookup("*Project*",'C:\desktop\Checking_File\[abc.xlsx]sheet1'!A1:C5,2,0)
# When i applied the function, a popup will appear to ask for the referencing the right file. The output produced is correct.
# But the file referencing will always appear each time to ask for the file location.
# As i replace a new file and rename it abc.xlsx in the same location, the vlookup did not update - even as i clicked on fresh all data.
The referencing location seemed wrong.
tried this '.\desktop\Checking_File\[abc.xlsx]sheet1'!A1:C5 or [abc.xlsx]sheet1'!A1:C5 but they both dont work.
Any workable resolution on the file path referencing from desktop? and the function auto update all the time?
Many thanks
