This might sound strange, I am importing data into excel from other programs. But when it imports, I am not sure what the formatting is. (example 06 versus 6).

I am using a match and index to find values but, I am not having much luck. If I force the values to be text or numbers, it works.

Is there a way, where I am looking at a value of (6), yet it will still be able to look into the (06) and grab that associated value?

Please let me know if that makes any sense.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
I think your best bet would be probably to fix your data so you know exactly what you are working with.
You can create some VBA code that will re-format your columns in whatever format you want (using Text to Columns on each column you want to fix).
Then, since you know what format the data will be in after that, you can write your formulas accordingly.
