Hi...
I have a webquery that I want to allow users to download to run on their machines.
I would like to require that they be a current member of my website to use the query.
Is there a way for the query/excel output sheet check an html sheet on my website to see if they have the proper code to run the query?
As an example, I could have a single page with the code 12345 as the only thing on the page. The vba when they ran the macro would check and see if that series of numbers is the same as a hidden cell in their spreadsheet. If so it would let the query continue...if not it would stop the macro,
Probably sounds simpler that it is...
If the code would change, they would have to download a new spreadsheet containing the new hidden code.
Appreciate any input.
