What would be the easiest way to remove an alpha suffix from an alpha numeric string?

AA12412BB
Should return
AA12412

So basically looking right to left removing any characters after the last numeric character.

Does anyone know how to write this as a UDF? Or VBA sub? Or worse case, as a formula?
