Remove Password Protection on workbook

I am trying to change a password on a workbook. I have already gone to encrypt document and changed the password. However, when I open the workbook again, my new password works but another popup shows and asks me for another password for write access. That second password was my original password, and I don't know how to change that.

I'm not sure if this is your issue or not, but if you go to File > SaveAs, hit the Tools button (upper right corner of the SaveAs window) > General Options - you should get the option for two passwords. One to open the file and one to have access to modify the file.

Is it the one to modify you're looking to change?

(I'm using xl'03 here.)
