Remove symbol

Hi all

I have a shed load of data some of which has a number followed by a percent symbol, I do not want the symbol.

Can anyone suggest a way of removing these pesky symbols but still retain the number.

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Sort by date Sort by votes
If the value is stored as a number - format the cells to be General or Number (not percentage)

If the value is definitely stored as text run Text to Columns on range and in Step 3 set to General, then see above.
