Removing Dups in same Cell

Can anyone help me with this issue?

I have a HUGE report and in most cells in the description column, there are repeated words that I would like to remove.

I have been digging through the web trying to find a way to accomplish this through either VBA or a function and have had no luck.

Here is a small example of what I am talking about... I would like to be able to remove the "MERCEDES-BENZ" repeats but leave the first one. All of the date ranges and Model info I need to keep as well.

Mercedes-Benz 400SE 1992 - 1992/Mercedes-Benz 400SEL 1993 - 1993/Mercedes-Benz 500SEC 1993 - 1993/Mercedes-Benz 500SEL 1992 - 1993/Mercedes-Benz 600SEC 1993 - 1993/Mercedes-Benz 600SEL 1992 - 1993/Mercedes-Benz CL500 1998 - 1999/Mercedes-Benz CL600 1998 - 1999/Mercedes-Benz S320 1994 - 1999/Mercedes-Benz S350D 1993 - 1994/Mercedes-Benz S420 1994 - 1999/Mercedes-Benz S500 1994 - 1999/Mercedes-Benz S600 1994 - 1999

Would do this by hand, but there are 21k+ lines of data to go through.

If you are interested in pursuing a Power Query, this is my output on your post 9 sample data using the Power Query code at the bottom:

    #"Removed Columns2" = Table.RemoveColumns(#"Grouped Rows1",{"Index"})
in
    #"Removed Columns2"

Note: Cars with a number in the model name might be an issue with this version so I would probably have to slightly amend the above method used for stripping out the year component.

Another power query approach

Power Query:
let
    Source = Excel.CurrentWorkbook(){[Name="Table1"]}[Content],
    lst = Table.AddColumn(Source, "x", each List.Transform(Text.Split([Cars],"/"), (x)=> Text.Split(Text.Trim(x)," ") ))[x],
    MatchN = (lst1 as list, lst2 as list)=>
            List.Last(List.Generate(()=>[match = true, n = 0], each [match], each [match = lst1{[n]} = lst2{[n]}, n = [n] + 1]))[n],
    lst1 = List.Transform(lst, each List.Zip({_, {-1..List.Count(_)-2}})),
    lst2 = List.Transform(lst1, each List.Transform(_, (x)=> if x{1} > -1 then  List.Skip(x{0}, MatchN(x{0}, _{x{1}}{0})) else x{0})),
    lst3 = List.Transform(lst2, each List.Transform(_, (x)=> Text.Combine(x, " "))),
    lst4 = List.Transform(lst3, each Text.Combine(_, ", ")),
    Result = Table.FromColumns({lst4},{"Cars"})

I thank all of you for your help. I am not familiar with Power Query yet, so not sure if that is a viable option to date. I am going to try to learn it now though as it seems that it would be a great helper tool going forward.

I am uploading a minisheet of what I am working with.

As you can see, COl A has the part number shown multiple times. THe original source is from outside the porg, and I have no control over how they provide their data. THerefore I am trying to find a workaround.

I have a solution to collect all of the data for each PT# and put it into a single cells, but then I need to clean it up.

If someone can dev a single source code to do both, that would be awesome, but if not, I just need to be able to clean it up.
