Renaming a named cell

I've got two spreadsheets that I have to merge (copying sheets from one into the other) but run into a problem with named cells in each spreadsheet having the same name.

Is there a "fast" way to rename a named cell in a spreadsheet so the cell will have a new name and all the cells that reference it will be updated? If I just create a new name for the cell I have to select all the cells in the spreadsheet and do a find/replace to get all the formulas working again.

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December

in the interim, you can leave the same-named ranges and just reference them by fully qualifying which of the two you are referencing.

syntax
SheetName!NamedRange1

Example:
FirstQtr!Income
SecondQtr!Income

Thanks for the tip. I ended up just renaming the cell and then doing a find/replace to swap in the new name to the formulas.

I got stuck since I was merging several sets of calculations but the name "ProjectName" got used a little too liberally.

Thanks for the tip though.
