is it possible to rename an excel workbook referring a name in a cell of that same excel by VBA?

If so, can anyone help me with the code?

Thanks in advance!!

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Try like this

Code:
Sub RenameMe()
ThisWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1").Value & ".xls"
End Sub

Thanks for that code!!

But I see that this actually creates another copy of the workbook with the referred name in the default location.

I actually need the existing workbook to be renamed with the new name by referring the value in a cell.

Code:
Sub RenameMe()
    Dim sFile As String

    sFile = ThisWorkbook.FullName
    ThisWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("A1").Value
    Kill sFile
End Sub

As I posted earlier this code is working fine in regular Drive.

But this is not working on the Network Drives.

To be clear on the problem:
I have a workbook in a Network Drive. When I tried to execute this code in that environment, this actually getting saved in the default location (C: Drive)

Please let me know your thoughts on this!!

Try

Code:
Sub RenameMe()
    Dim sFile As String

    sFile = ThisWorkbook.FullName
    ThisWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=ThisWorkbook.path & "\" & Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("A1").Value
    Kill sFile
End Sub
